When it was built in 2005, the Pedernales was a pioneer residential building. Not many people had considered moving to the East Side before it was built. Once it opened however, many similar loft-style buildings sprung up all around it and a new neighborhood was born. The homes at Pedernales are bright and modern, with high ceilings, concrete floors and unique interior features and lighting fixtures. This is not a full-service or amenity style building, but that’s what keeps the maintenance costs low.
The neighborhood around Pedernales has become a very walkable community and even has its own Metro Rail station. Nearby you’ll find some of Austin’s friendliest and most unique shops and restaurants. Take a look at the current inventory of available lofts at Pedernales and request a tour of any you find interesting.
